The author traces the four-decade period of N.Roerich's collaboration with theater - from 1905 to 1944. In this time period, the cult painter and spiritual teacher, Nicholas Roerich decorated over 30 performances, including such recognized productions as the opera "Prince Igor" and ballet "The Rite of Spring". The author's objective was to find and systematize not only famed but, especially, little known Roerich's theater paintings, as well as to acquaint the reader at least with their color photocopies.
