This book describes the history, architecture, frescos and icons of Nikolsky Cathedral. The oldest temple located on the the famous Yaroslav Yard was founded by the prince Vladimir Mstislavovich in 1113. The cathedral suffered many fires, disasters, and was many times rebuilt. In the 90's of the XXth century it regained its original look. The frescos of the XIIth century will introduce the reader to the painters' great mastership.
