This book is a catalog of the "Nikifor" exhibition, which will is held at the Ukrainian Museum in New York from January 19 to April 15, 2023. It includes a foreword by the director of the museum Peter Doroshenko, essays by the curator of the exhibition prof. Myroslava Mudrak, biography of the artist, Nikifor's works and their list (149 units) in the museum collection. All works of Nicephorus are printed in color. Nikifor's work is a sincere self-expression of a self-taught artist, both art and a form of communication. This catalog not only tells about the life path of the artist, but also traces the evolution of his works, shows the wider context of his painting, as well as its opening at the beginning of the 1930s by the Ternopil artist Roman Turin, exhibitions in Lviv, Paris and the world.
