The edition is a facsimile reproduction of the first edition of Yakub Kolas's poem "New Earth", which was published in 1923 in Minsk by the Belarusian cooperative publishing society "Soviet Belarus." The poem "New Earth" has become a sign, a symbol of Belarusian literature, a work that encodes the characteristics of the Belarusian mentality. Written 100 years ago, "New Earth" still sounds relevant today. Yakub Kolas, recreating the life of a certain historical era, the end of the 19th century, managed to deeply understand the essence of being and raise global issues that are still urgent. The publication is intended to promote the best examples of the book culture of the Belarusian people. "New Land" is the first Belarusian lyric epic poem, written in 1911-1923 by Yakub Kolas, a great Belarusian writer, People's Poet of the Byelorussian SSR (1926), and member (1928) and vice-president (from 1929) of the Belarusian Academy of Sciences.
