The edition is devoted to the development of ideas about different aspects of economic history of Russia at the beginning of the XXth century in the Soviet and post-Soviet historiography. The author defines methodological approaches to the study of national historiography of the Russian economic history with special emphasis on the work of political leaders of the USSR and leaders of the Bolshevik Party. Separate chapters are dedicated to the development of methodology of historical and economic research during the second half of the 1950s-1980s and the post-Soviet period.
