Khristo Mikhailov is a contemporary Bulgarian painter and sculptor. He has works in various areas of art – sculpture, applied arts, paintings, graphics and conceptual arts (where he is the first for Bulgaria using lasers and holograms for recreation of art images). He has also works as an illustrator and as a designer. He uses all kinds of materials for the creation of his works – wood, stone, metal, glass, oil, gouache, vitreous and fluorescent paints, rope, sound, laser, hologram, music and effective lights. For the recreation of his thoughts, especially in his topical creations, the painter always strives to achieve the uniqueness and in the same time to recreate the spirit of the past. For achieving of this symbiosis he very often asked for the help of historians such as Prof. Fol, the director of the Bulgarian National Historical Museum – Bozhidar Dimitrov, Georgi Kitov etc.
His paintings and plastics has been bought by collectors and galleries from France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg, England, Russia, Turkey, Japan, USA and Canada. The present album contains some of his works.
