The monograph is the first research study dedicated to the comparative analysis of the musical cultures of India and Indonesia as iconic regions of South and Southeast Asia, marking the regional specifics of their civilizations. They become the quintessence of typological qualities, that characterize the cultures of Asia macroregions as a holistic and systemic phenomenon.
