The book deals with modern problems of improving the criminal and criminal procedure legislation, the need to solve which is drawn attention to in the message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Kazakhstan in a new reality: time for action" dated September 1, 2020. The issues of improving the efficiency of law enforcement practice and preventing such crimes as human trafficking, corruption crimes in the field of public procurement, in the shadow economy were also considered.
