The collected works volume represents one of the results of research work on the project № 12 "Baikal Asia: Migrants and the Recipient Society" under the auspices of the Basic Research Program of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences entitled "The Historical and Cultural Heritage and Spiritual Values of Russia". The main goal of the project is to consider the specific features of reciprocal adaptation of migrants to the recipient society in Baikal Asia. The collected works volume includes thematically various articles, but they all are aimed at the juxtaposition of Baikal Asia and different regions of Russia and comparison of the Russian situation with migration processes in other countries (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan).
The collected works volume is aimed at the specialists in the field of migrations and diasporas, faculty, students and broad audience.
