The book presents the statistical data on agriculture farms in Latvia in the first half of 1998. To collect this information from peasant farms, household plots and private subsidiary farms, the method of sample surveys was introduced. It covers a total of 8800 farms in 440 pagasts (the smallest administrative units) with at least 0.1 ha of land at their disposal.
