In 1999 the present book by Prof. H.Strods was issued by Preses nams Publishers, a previous one was published in 1996 and had the same title. This volume comprises 135 documents from the Archives of Latvia. Such documents as the Latvian guerrilla squad and unit statutes, orders, instructions, leaflets, illegal press materials, the description of actions and operations executed by the Internal Forces of the USSR NKVD and the Ministry of State Security, the reports of the State Security destroyer batallions and special deployment forces are published for the first time. Alongside with the lists of the archive funds and the list of the published documents in English the book includes possible recodations of the persons having taken part in the guerrilla warfare and comments on the events of those days.
