Analysis of the present-day language situation in Tatarstan is presented in the book. It observes such problems, as functional interactions of languages of basic ethnic groups in Tatarstan, the role of the language in ethnic self-consciousness, in process of young generation's socialization, interactions of ethnolinguistic and ethnocultural processes, causes and forms of revelation of ethnolinguistic exceptions, the role of the press in formation and reflection of ethnolinguistic processes.
