The monograph reflects an attempt to analyze some tendencies of democratic processes’ development in Russia. Basing on the materials of a panel community study for a ten-years period (1995-2004), the author covers the dynamics of the population’s perception of radical reforms and modern Russian political realias. Problems of search of the democratic way for the social and state development on different stages of social transformations are also considered in the book. A considerable part of the monograph is dedicated to the evolution of the citizens’ ideas about the democratic state, to the evolution of the peculiarities of the civil and political activity of the population and to that of the problems, concerning the civilo society creation.
