The book is dedicated to Kotlas, a major hub in the south of the Arkhangelsk region. Based on archival materials, publications in the press and the Internet, memoirs and personal conversations with eyewitnesses and participants in the events described, the author invites the reader to plunge into the history of the city of Kotlas. First of all, these are the author's childhood memories, memorable events, stories about the sights of the city, residents who have devoted their labor activity to their native city. Many interesting episodes from the life of the Kotlashans and biographies of famous people are described, which, perhaps, will arouse undoubted interest not only among the inhabitants of the region, but also those who are interested in the history and development of the Arkhangelsk region.
