In the spring of 2017, the Theatrical Institute organized a colloquium dedicated to the theatrological work of Jan Jabornik, a leading Slovak theatrologist, marking what would have been his 75th birthday. Twelve expert addresses were delivered, which became the basis for this publication. In addition, it includes a cross-section of Jabornik's broad scientific work - portraits of personalities and newspaper reviews, analytical studies on acting and developmental tendencies in directing and dramaturgy, synthesizing texts devoted to the history of Slovak theatre and others.
