Ilmars Knagis (1926) is one of the founders of Latvian organization of people subjected to repressions and the fund 'Children of Siberia'. In this book he tells about his work that he has carried out since 1987. It deals with expeditions to those places where Latvian exiles were sent to during the period of totalitarianism. The author describes and shows the process of inestimable work on restoration and putting memorials in the places of victims' deaths.
