This manual is aimed at introduction of a new academic discipline - gender studies which deal with various aspects of social relationship between the sexes. Gender problems are presented here in the context of both traditional in the former Soviet Union social sciences (sociology, philosophy, linguistics, etc.) and the disciplines, which are new (ecology, anthropology, cultural studies, feminism).
