The collection contains of research papers of the island territories of the Far East of Russia studies. It is devoted to a wide range of problems of actual historical, archaeological, ethnological and biogeographical research. The focus is on island cultures and societies, the process of their historical formation, the analysis of human-nature interaction, and the general and specific features of the development of some island communities throughout history. The study of small and medium-sized islands of the North Pacific Ocean - from the Gulf of Peter the Great to the Commander and Kuril Islands is in spotlight too.
