Julian Lucjan Bazgier - legionnaire and participant of the Polish-Bolshevik War, author of memoirs published in the interwar period and subsequent ones, remaining in the family archive. The typescripts became the basis for presenting the fate of Bazgier's family. They show the achievements of his parents and siblings: a worker - a fighter of Jozef Pilsudski and an exile, a National Democrat - active in the Macierz Szkolna, and a carer of Polish children rescued from Siberia, staying in the Pahiatua camp in New Zealand. In the whirlwind of described events from the 19th and 20th centuries, there are also other people distinguished for Poland, and related to Bazgier through family: artists, such as the painter Antoni Pyzowski from Szczekocin, a January Uprising insurgent awarded the Cross of Valour 2nd Lt. Ludomir Dymitrowicz, later a well-known Warsaw cartoonist and illustrator, or figures of such stature as Kazimierz Srokowski - from 1917 the first chairman of the Dabrowa City Council (today the patron of a street in the Golonog district of Dabrowa Gornicza) or Father Stanislaw Kobylecki, vicar general of the Lutsk diocese.
