The collection contains reports and speeches at the plenary and sectional sessions of the II Congress of Scientists of the Republic of Belarus, held on December 12-13, 2017 in Minsk. The congress identified the main and most urgent tasks and directions for the development of the scientific sphere, which have a long-term nature, including the expansion of international scientific and technical cooperation and the integration of domestic science into the world scientific space, a concept of long-term scientific and innovative security of the country and a general development strategy and enhancing the role of domestic science in the economy, its interaction with the real sector, the formation of an effective national innovation system and the progressive implementation of the knowledge economy model in Belarus.
