The documents reviewed on the pages of the book were written by Belarusian writers, artists, cultural figures, those well-known persons, the fruits of whose work in different years made up the Belarusian national culture. It would seem that some of their appeals to the highest ideological and actually the highest state body were of a private nature. But in order to solve this or that issue, without which creativity is worthless, there was nowhere else to turn except to the Central Committee. Other correspondence is evidence of the position of the creative intelligentsia, its desire to do something necessary for the whole society and Belarus. We only had to look at this correspondence from the height of today.
