Pavel Nemirov's new book tells about people famous in Pinezhye. All of them have made a significant contribution to the development of the region by their activities. The book begins with a story about the merchant G.S. Schepotkin, who fruitfully worked in his small homeland in the late nineteenth and early twenties of the last century. And the activities and fates of the rest of the heroes of the book cover a layer of events that take place in the history of the region throughout the twentieth century to the present day. The heroes of the book are teachers, doctors, chairmen of village councils, district leaders, directors of state farms, artists and, of course, defenders of the Fatherland and many other well-known Pinezhans. The book is full of not only the fate of people, but also other interesting local history information. The author is Nemirov Pavel Ivanovich, an ethnographer, member of the Union of Journalists of Russia.
