The book is composed of the outlines that shed light on separate aspects of town-planning history of Ufa town in the XVIth - XXth centuries. The author destroys stereotypes, which depict historical Ufa as a dirty, godforsaken town, by drawing on archival material, in which Ufa appears as an occidental well-organized, civilized center.
