Reedition. The basic question that I had to ask myself at the end of the 90s of the last century and that I have to ask myself now is: What is the history of Slovakia? And the answer is the same: It is the history of the current territory of Slovakia and the history of its inhabitants with an emphasis on the Slovak national story, because it is the story of the dominant ethnic group in this territory. What is interesting is the metamorphosis of the Hungarians, who in Hungary were part of a nation whose representatives held the reins of the state firmly in their hands, and after the creation of the Czechoslovak Republic, they became one of its minorities. Other nationalities and ethnic groups were in minority status in Hungary and Czechoslovakia, although the framework of that status also changed.
