Taking into account the results of the modern typological and cognitive linguistics, the main concepts to describe grammatical semantics are analyzed, and a new interpretation of many Russian grammar phenomena is suggested. Besides, there is a semantic analysis of some meta-language conceptions, used to describe the functioning of grammar units. Degrees of comparison, reflexivity and reciprocity, aspects and tenses, result and perfect, as well as the meanings expressed by forms of persons, modes, numbers and cases are the main subjects of research.
