"Gold Artifacts from Chiprovtsi (16th-17th Century) in the Collections of the National Museum of History in Sofia". The variety of gold artifacts made in Chiprovtsi is remarkable. They were typically hammered from a single sheet of gold and elaborately decorated. The small catalog included in this book features some of the most typical gold-working products from this area in Northwestern Bulgaria. All of them are kept at the National Museum of History in Sofia. They were collected over the past 25 years. Their history is not always clear, but they were undoubtedly made by the goldsmiths of Chiprovtsi.
