The monograph is dedicated to the analysis of modern socio-political transformations in Northern Caucasia. Socio-political transformations are considered as manifestation of global world changes, inter-ethnic conflicts, typical for Northern Caucasia, are taken up as processes of localization, intra-ethnic development, and national self-identification. Multi-ethnicity and diversity of cultures are defined as the main vectors, which determine development patterns typical for a particular transforming social area. So, the subject matter includes development peculiarities of the Northern Caucasian region subjects influenced by globalization in the context of instability. The present monograph is also to discover and investigate tendencies opposite to instability, as well as to study the region’s ethnic and political security issues.
