The famous writer Jiri Kratochwil is a representative of modern prose who deliberately deviates from the realistic literary tradition. The plot of the novel develops in the 50s of the XXth century, two lines are intertwined in it. The first line is the fate of the young worker Pavel, to whom the socialist intelligence service entrusted a sabotage mission in the West. In the center of the second line is a young fox.
