The book analyzes the key stages of the formation of ambulance services on the territory of Belarus in 1919-1939 years. For the first time in the national historiography disclosed features of the formation of the Institute on the territory of the Byelorussian SSR, and in Western Belarus, which allows a new perspective to look at the socio-economic aspects of development of Belarusian society in its division in the interwar period. The basis of the study amounted to documentary sources from the stock 25 archives, 50 museums, libraries and medical institutions of Belarus, Lithuania, Poland, Russia and Ukraine.
