This is the first book about the Zilina hospital. It captures the predecessors of the hospital - healthcare and doctors since the Middle Ages, the names of the hospital, the names of its directors and chiefs of individual departments from 1914 to the present, the construction development of the hospital, the history of all departments and their present. The book contains the memories of many doctors and Lubomir Feldek. The publication includes all monuments, sacred and artistic works in the hospital complex for the first time. The book is conveniently complemented not only by historical photographs of buildings, doctors and medical staff, but also by color photographs of the current hospital complex and drone footage.
The authors are historian Mgr. Peter Stansky and chief of the surgical department of the hospital doc. MUDr. Juraj Vanaa PhD.
