The monograph explores socio-cultural transformations and interethnic relations in Galicia of the interwar period. The number and peculiarities of ethnic groups' settlements were determined; their socio-economic status and their impact on socio-cultural transformations are characterized. The phenomenon of "ethnicity" and the phenomenon of "closeness" of ethnic communities were analyzed, their cultural significance was clarified; cultural and educational life and social space of ethnic groups were studied; peculiarities of reflection in the collective and individual consciousness of the image of one ethnic group and each of its members in the consciousness of the ethnophores of another ethnic group are investigated, the factors of its formation are determined; the example of interethnic marriages has clarified the nature of the attitude and perception of one ethnic community to another.
