The book is devoted to the types and technologies of beverage production in the traditional and modern culture of the peoples of the Ural-Volga region, their place and role in the daily, festive and ceremonial meal and ritual sphere. The symbolism of drinks in language and folklore, the etymology of names and vocabulary related to the culture of preparation and consumption are considered.
