This study introduces into scientific circulation 1000 Arabic-language epistolary sources (letters) and documents from the late 18th to early 20th centuries from the Oriental Manuscripts Fund of the Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnography of the Dagestan Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences (FWR IHAE DFRC RAS), most of which have not been published before. These letters and documents are unique sources for studying historical events that took place during the specified period, as well as the life and activities of various strata of Dagestani society.
