The monograph is dedicated to the criminological problems of knowledge of corruption crime in the electoral process as an independent systemic and structural phenomenon, as well as to the study of the theoretical foundations of its prevention. The paper analyzes the doctrinal approaches to understanding corruption and corruption crime in the election process, formulates a working definition of this negative socio-political phenomenon and suggests a typology of its main manifestations. In addition, the indicators and the causal complex of corruption crime in the election process are studied, the author's approach to building a system for preventing this type of crime based on the legal theory of security measures is substantiated. Based on the results of the study, proposals were formulated to improve the legislation and practice of its application, aimed at improving the effectiveness of corruption prevention in the election process of the Russian Federation.
