Copyright and related rights in Chad, as in other countries, cover literary and artistic works, performances, phonograms, videograms and programs. They constitute one of the dimensions of intellectual property. Indeed, copyright and related rights are based on naturalist thought. This thought was developed by several authors who are subdivided into two currents: on the one hand, the conception based on work, a thesis espoused by John Locke, and the theory of personality on the other hand, derived from the writings of Kant and Hegel. Through these thoughts, we can see that intellectual creation is the crowning achievement of the intellectual and economic efforts of authors who deserve to be rewarded.
