The monograph examines the theoretical and legal foundations of constitutional control in the system of state control, defines the concepts and principles of constitutional control as an independent area of government, the characteristics of constitutional control as a type of state control and the place of constitutional control in the mechanism of public authority. constitutional control, examines the features of procedural legal relations in the field of constitutional control, features of the subjects of such relations, reveals the characteristics of the process of constitutional control, which distinguishes it from the process of judicial proceedings in the courts, characterizes the legal force of final acts of constitutional control and their place in the system of legal acts. The history of formation and current state of legal regulation of the organization and activity of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, its place in the system of public authorities is studied. Based on the analysis of the current state of legal regulation and positive foreign experience, ways to improve the functioning of the institution of constitutional control in Ukraine are identified.
