No other unit has aroused as much interest among historians over the past centuries as the Rogers Rangers. They were called "the falcons of the lakes of the Champlain Valley" because of the swiftness and surprise with which they attacked the enemy. The main purpose of the Rogers Rangers is sabotage reconnaissance, countering irregular detachments of French-Canadian and Indian spies during the Seven Years' War, which was fought in virgin territories, from Nova Scotia to the forks of the Ohio River, and ultimately decided the fate of the entire North American continent.
In this work, the author not only revives the picture of the epic struggle for the continent that unfolded between the leading world powers of that time, but also considers against its background the creation and activities of the first colonial special forces in the history of America - an unorthodox unit from among the common people: farmers, lumberjacks, Indian scouts, for using it in "impossible missions" for the glory of British weapons.
