The book reveals the history of numerous cities and settlements of the Suvar-Bulgars (the ancestors of the Chuvash). Known as the "Columbus of the East", the Hungarian Dominican monk Julian, who made two trips to the Volga in the 1230s, wrote that Great Bulgaria is a great and powerful kingdom with rich cities. This fact suggests that by that time there was a rich urban culture with centuries-old traditions. The book-album contains lists of hillforts, settlements, protective ditches and ramparts, serif features, epigraphic monuments with a detailed description, indicating the locations and dates of research expeditions.
