The book is devoted to the philosophical understanding of the integration of the categories of Tibetan Buddhist culture (method-wisdom, tantra, spiritual teacher) into the religious universe of the Kalmyks. These categories are considered as ideological universals, which makes it possible to analyze the inclusion of the fundamental ideas of Tibetan Buddhism in the religious picture of the Kalmyk world. Special attention is paid to the phenomenological analysis of the subjective meaning of the identified categories for the Kalmyks themselves, their intentions in the process of religious conversion to Tibetan Buddhism and active interaction with Tibetan Buddhists.
