Bronislawa Wilimowska (1909-2004) was a Polish artist. She was born in St.Petersburg. In the 1920s she exhibited her works (portrait studies) under the pseudonyms Bronna Stach and S. Bronna. From 1930 she lived in Warsaw - she took part in both Warsaw and Paris exhibitions. Participant of the Warsaw Uprising ("Kryska" group). After the war she worked in the Ministry of Culture and Art and in the Main Board of the ZPAP (she was vice-president in 1968-69). Her works include themes related to the war and the post-war reconstruction of the country, as well as landscapes from her numerous foreign trips. She actively participated in Polish artistic life, especially in the 1950s and 1960s, as evidenced by her participation in over 170 exhibitions, including the National Exhibition of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1952-54), the Festival of Contemporary Polish Painting, Painting in the 15th Anniversary of the Polish People's Republic. She was honored with numerous awards and state decorations.
