Victor Kirsanov, the commercial director of a construction company, changes his previous life overnight. A passionate affair with the beautiful Anna, a woman with a mysterious past, prompts him to leave his family. His new lover not only charms him, but also draws Victor into a risky business - trading raw sugar. Thanks to her connections, he unexpectedly becomes the deputy chairman of a large bank, although he has never understood finance.
