During the XX-XXI centuries. Belarusian linguistic terminology developed in close connection with other fields of terminology under the direct influence of specific socio-political circumstances. During this period, domestic linguists created more than 70 different dictionaries of linguistic terms: autonomous and incorporated, general and aspect, dictionaries-selections and dictionaries-appendices, translation, explanatory and explanatory-translational, alphabetic and alphabetic-nested, etc. Separate questions of the development of Belarusian terminology are summarized in the studies of L. Antonyuk, G. Gvazdovich, M. Gulitski, A. Zhurauski, A. Podluzhny, M. Sudnik, T. Tamashevich, L. Shakun, and others. (preferably in the context of studying the history of Belarusian linguistics and terminology). Publications by A. Adamovich and A. Kavrus, A. Krivitskyi, P. Martynovskyi, R. Ageeva, and others. dedicated to the review criticism of dictionaries of linguistic terms. V. Shcherbin studied the history of terminology, the structure of the most authoritative dictionaries and their content in detail and in various aspects. However, until now, Belarusian linguistics has not systematized the entire process of formation of linguistic terminography, and there are also no conceptual works on the methodology of terminographic activity. The purpose of this research is to analyze the state of modern Belarusian translation terminography (transterminography) and to reveal the main trends in the methodology of terminographic activity. Research objectives: to find out what types of dictionaries prevail in Belarusian translation terminology; characterize the types of microstructure of translated linguistic dictionaries; to determine the tasks facing modern Belarusian transterminography.
