The collection contains the following sections: "Research", "Belarusian Folklore-Ethnolinguistic Atlas", "Belarusian Folklore in Historical Documents", "From the Manuscript Heritage", "Materials and Results of Field Research", "Folklore of the Border Region", "From the Collection of Folklore Records". The theoretical section is devoted to topical issues of studying the manuscript tradition, folklore of the Great Patriotic War, various aspects of everyday life, mythology are explored, with a special emphasis on the problems of the Belarusian folk tale. Early records of Belarusian folk proverbs, legends and fables are printed.
Prepared within the framework of the implementation of the theme "Belarusian folklore in the European space: ethnic markers, dialect diversity, modern interpretations", No. 20210782 dated 16.04.2021 of the State Program of Scientific Research "Society and Humanitarian Security of the Belarusian State" for 2021–2025, scientific supervisor A. I. Lakotka.
