The collection was prepared based on the materials of mainly traditional Belarusian folklore collected in the territory of Bashkortostan. Includes song folklore of different genres, fairy tales, historical stories, stories, poems for the deceased, conspiracies, proverbs, sayings, omens. If available, the texts are given with the preservation of dialectal features. Much of it was collected by F.G. Galieva. Fairy tales are extracted from the publication "Folklore of the peoples of the RSFSR" in the recording of V.V. Shmakov. Some examples of song folklore are presented by the department of culture of the Iglinsky region. Small genres of folklore were recorded by N.I. Garasevich.
The introductory articles to the collection contain: a historical and ethnographic essay about the Belarusians of Bashkortostan, information about the collection of Belarusian folklore in the republic, an analysis of folklore in the context of socio-economic and political changes. Comments include information about folklore recordings. Song notation and lyrics, translation from Belarusian into Russian, photographs provided by F.G. Galieva.
