The monograph is planned to be published in several volumes and will cover the period from September 1941 to May 1944. The conducted research allowed the compilers to identify a number of documents evidencing fierce battles involving units of the Red Army that were part of the Crimean, Southern, North Caucasian, and Transcaucasian fronts. Many of the documents in this edition are published for the first time. Sardalov Isa Alkhazurovich is a historian, member of the Union of Journalists of the Chechen Republic, member of the Public Chamber of the Chechen Republic, and chairman of the regional branch of the All-Russian Public Movement for Commemorating the Fallen in Defense of the Fatherland "Search Movement of Russia" in the Chechen Republic.
