The book is devoted to biographies, creative works and philosophical concepts of Azeri middle-aged philosophers. The author underlines the broadness of philosophical theories in the Muslim countries in comparison with the Christian world where two basic trends (mysticism and scholasticism) developed within limits of religious philosophy. As opposed, the middle-aged East produced a number of unreligious philosophical concepts such as peripatetizm, panteizm, and ishrakizm. The author shows that Azeri philosophers played an important role in developing the above concepts while some of them are considered the originators - as for example Shikhabaddin Iakhiia Sukhravardi, the founder of ishrakizm.
