The third book in the series "Outstanding Scientists of the Urals" is dedicated to the three first scientific leaders of the nuclear center in the Urals - the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Technical Physics: Kirill Ivanovich Shchelkin, Evgeny Ivanovich Zababakhin and Evgeny Nikolaevich Avrorin. Under their scientific guidance, the main types of nuclear and thermonuclear ammunition were developed, tested and adopted by the country, as well as nuclear explosive devices were developed and applied in the interests of the national economy.
