The book is based on the materials of the conference, which along with a series of concerts constitutes the art research project “Art of the XXth Century: Dialog of Epochs and Generations”. The collection of articles includes those, written by Russian critics, musicologists, philosophers, and philologists from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-the-Don, Kirov, Kolomna and also by foreign authors from Ukraine, Lithuania and Germany. The book is an attempt to shed light on the art of the XXth century from different angles, to show its complicated interaction with the art of different centuries and different generations.
