Kitaynik Abram (1922 - 2001) was a prose writer, essayist, translator. The novel “Arina” (1959) by the famous Altai writer Lazar Kokyshev in Kitaynik's translation was included in the gold fund of multinational Russian literature. This is a re-edition of the novel, it was published in his translation in Barnaul (1967, 1977), Novosibirsk (1968, 1982) and Moscow (1985).
