The publication is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the famous painter, theater artist, teacher, and public figure Anas Ibragimovich Tumashev (1924-2010), winner of the G. Tukai State Prize (1958), People's Artist of the TASSR (1974), and Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1982). Anas Tumashev made a significant contribution to the development of theatrical and decorative art. He was a recognized master of landscape and portrait painting, as well as historical works.
